Following up on my conversation with Nate Nelson, here’s some information about filling up your home with brand new, sweet furniture from China. There are entire cities, like Fo Shan, Long Jiang and others that do nothing but produce furniture.
- Trip to China with your spouse - $2,500
- Furniture (click for pictures)
- Dining Room Table + 4 Chairs - $48
- Family Room L-Sofa - Microfiber - $399
- Living Room Sofa - Microfiber - $299
- Recliner - $113
- Entertainment Center - $70
- Carved Wooden Bed - $250
- Each of many 3-hour massages - $3
- Shipping furniture back to Utah - $2,500
If you’re planning on refurnishing your home, you can’t beat the prices in China, and if you can find a couple other people willing to get stuff on the same container that you’re shipping back, you can have an amazing vacation and get all new furniture, for the same price as buying it at RC Willey. If you have any questions, just drop me a line and I’ll get you headed in the right direction.

Make sure you ask for the right kind of massage. Derek can also inform you of the pitfalls.
Oh and the ice-cream bars are both cheap and delicious.
Eat Kung Pao chicken as much as possible. It is not like it is here in the States.
And please do not refer to China as “Red China”. Unless you are 60 years old or older. If you insist on calling China “Red” please go to http://www.jason-barber.com for an explanation of your ignorance.
