I’ve spent a lot of time over the past month setting up this WordPress blog, and I’ve gone through dozens of plugins to make this page exactly what I want it to be. One thing that it led me to was Google Analytics. I don’t know how Google puts out such amazing software for free, but I for one am not scared that they’re gathering information on me. I do know that just by signing up for a Google account and putting their tracking code on your site, you have access to incredible statistical information about your visitors. I’ve looked at similar stat packages, and they cost thousands of dollars. I’m moving slowly, but steadily, on the path towards Google serfdom.
